Date: 2020-2021
Location: Delhi, India
Status: On-going
The project is a carbon-neutral terminal for Noida International Airport in Delhi, India. It has a strong natural landscape design to balance and mediate between the infrastructure, developing built environment and public space. A strong green landscape that supports the values important for the site: city nature, that provides the area with necessary ecosystem services; local culture, to make the airport landscape a unique, vibrant and welcoming place - as well as locally anchored; and finally the airport values that call for connecting spaces, a human scale and easy way-finding.
The greenery in the airport landscape varies in density: from dense green nature in the Plaza Park to less dense and more porous in the forecourt area and the courtyards inside the terminal building.
