As a 14-hectare big urban void in one of the most crowded districts of Istanbul, the Sancaktepe Mixed-use Complex aims to offer its residents a private forest experience while also taking into account the morphological continuity of the existing city structure.
Being the key design element, the linear park acts as a nature-urban transition gate consisting of several landscape layers such as residential green, buffer conifer trees, meadow and multi-functional landscape rooms. The rich and diverse green features made it possible to design nature-responsible landscape programs both exclusive and public, such as commercial pockets, public squares; playgrounds, sports and recreational areas.
